Access Gateway is an on-premises solution that protects access to cloud services using your users' current directory credentials (such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Active Directory accounts) using the SAML 2.0 authentication standard. When users access protected applications, they are redirected to the miniOrange Access Gateway server within your network. Here, miniOrange Access Gateway functions as an identity provider (IdP), authenticating users through your existing primary authentication system for credential verification. It then prompts for multi-factor authentication before granting access to the application. Access Gateway by miniOrange supports local Active Directory (AD) and OpenLDAP directories as identity sources, as well as on-premises or cloud IdPs.
