Guide for Configuring Notification Settings For Policy Breach
Configure Notification For Policy Breach using DLP Solution.
This guide details how to configure notification settings for policy breaches in the DLP solution, ensuring real-time alerts for critical security events. By customizing notification preferences, admins can stay informed about policy violations, enabling quick responses to potential threats. The settings allow for targeted alerts based on policy type or breach severity, ensuring that key personnel are notified when necessary. This approach enhances both security and compliance by providing timely information, helping organizations maintain control over policy enforcement and reduce risk exposure.
Prerequisites
There are a couple of things you need to check before you start with the setup:
You need Administrator access for your DLP dashboard.
Step 1: Steps to configure Notification Settings
Sign in to your DLP dashboard.
On the dashboard, navigate to the left menu panel and then click on Notifications tab.
Click on the Create Notification button to open the form.
You will see a form rendered from the right side of the dashboard.
Provide a appropriate Notification Name and Description for the notification.
Select a destination. For example: In our case we are selecting USB.
After selecting a destination, you can choose the policies for that destination. For example, we will choose the USB Policy for Developer Group.
You can also select multiple policies in this section.
Now enter the email addresses of the recipients under the Send Notification To label. These recipients will receive notifications for any policy breaches. You can also add multiple email addresses.
Click on the Add button to save the notification.
You can now view the configured notification list.
Step 2: Steps to Customize Email Templates For Policy Breach Alerts
Go to Dashboard, click on your avatar in the top right corner, then select Settings.
Navigate to the Customize Email Templates tab.
Then click on the Policy Breach Email Button.
By default, the Default template is selected.
If you want to customize the template, click on Use Customized Template and make your edits in the editor.
